Installing Video To Your StrandVision Digital Signage Account

Instructions to Include Video On Your Signage

Thank you working with StrandVision Digital Signage. This document will walk you through the steps to upload streaming video clips to your account. When the process is complete, the clips are converted and attached to your account. You can then add as many streaming video pages to your signage with your video clips available to be selected. To provide smooth operation, video files are automatically downloaded to your player pc in the background.

Creating The Video File

NOTE: For the best success, keep your video clips between 5 and 60 seconds. This keeps the viewer entertained and keeps the advertising messages moving along. The diversity of different types of information keeps people's attention the best.

Using your video capture equipment and software, create a video file. The following formats are supported using standard compressors.

• Windows Media Files (AVI, WMV, ASF, dvr-ms, ms-dvr)
• MOV/MP4 Files (mov, mp4, 3gp, 3g2, m4v, qt)
• Real Media Files (rm, rmvb)
• Flash Video Files (flv, swf)
• Matroska Video Viles (mkv)
• AviSynth Scripts (avs)
• Sony High Definition Video (m2ts)
• MPEG-1 Video Files (m1v, mp3, mpg, mpv, dat)
• MPEG-2 Video Files (m2v, mp3, mpg, mpv, vob)
• Divx Video Files (divx)
• Ogg Media Files (ogm)
• DVD-VR Video Files (vro)
• Other Video Files (dv, amv)

NOTE: copyright protected materials cannot be converted. Also, files with special compressors may also not be converted.

Upload the Video File

To send your file(s):

• Log into your account.
• Click on Signage Pages, Convert Video/PowerPoint, Install Video.
• Click on the upload button, find your file. If you want to upload multiple files, you can select up to 5 files to upload at a time.

The Conversion Process

When the progress bar shows that the uploads are complete, you can leave the page - the conversion process is started.

• The files will be converted within one full business day.
• When the converted files are available, you will receive a notification email.

Once you receive the conversion email

To use your installed video clips:

• Log onto your StrandVision administration account
• Select “Add Pages”
• Navigate to the “Streaming Video File” page
• Click on the drop-down menu
• Select the video file that you want to add
• Your video will be added to your digital sign
